This is why some people cant be ushers.

I am not, repeat AM NOT, saying that this is the way church should actually be. it is just a joke of someone taking the great commission too far. please dont write comments about how heretical I am.

Is is true that a church should never be without evangelism and that everybody is called to reach out to the world. I'm speaking alot to myself as I tend to be very fearful of witnessing, but God does a work regardless.

what is the great commission?

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
"teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you;
Matthew 28:19, 20

Powell,
Maybe I saw into the post and saw something more...maybe not. No big deal. I don't think your illustration is at all exaggerated. I think it emphasizes the point well. Disciple-mä-thā-tā's: 1) a learner, pupil, disciple (Strongs G 3101) from root G 3129-män-thä'-nō :1) to learn, be apprised

a) to increase one's knowledge, to be increased in knowledge

b) to hear, be informed

c) to learn by use and practice

1) to be in the habit of, accustomed to

We do this daily in our lives by how we live our lives. You are correct in saying God will get it done. Are we not all disciples? God adds to the Church (Body of Christ-not a building) daily. How big does a congregation need to be? Two or more will work. I believe we are doing that. Can we do more? Yes, and we will in time.

In Christ,
Thomas

Powell,

It'd be refreshing if we Christians did take witnessing too far for once. Often, and I speak mostly to myself, we're fearful of men rather than God.

Thanks for the encouragement!
